I love to paint on large canvas! And since I am doing it I admire the more El Greco and all the other painters for their oeuvre on huge canvas!

You cannot imagine how difficult it is to work a large painting. To master this huge, empty canvas, to keep under control the story you want to unroll, to keep the composition in view. The following canvases are from a series called “hinter dem Spiegel” and “märchenhaft”. I waded through this theme for several weeks. It was exhausting and also adrenalizing!
